Open Mic nights - your opportunity to have the microphone- they are get togethers for local musicians to have a place to perform. They can be musicians who play instruments, solo or groups, or sing, or recite poetry, or all of those things. They might be beginners, experienced or even professional musicians. The main thing is to create a supportive atmosphere that appreciates local live music, and the work that goes into developing these musical skills. So whatever stage (excuse the pun) you’re at, if you love live music and want to share in this, either as audience or performers, come and be part of Hooky Open Mic. We hope to create collaborations, share ideas and support those new to performing - and generally have a good time.
