The first Microfest, in October 2023, was a most enjoyable, freestyle celebration of DIY folk music. Although not a large gathering, a great time was had by all and a re-run seems like a very good idea in the dull weeks following Christmas. Bring your instruments, voices, friendly faces and thirsts to this FREE event at The Cholsey Pavilion, Station Road, Cholsey, OX10 9PT on Sunday 26^th January 2025, between 12.00 midday and 8.00 pm.

Many of you will have known Keith Holloway, a dedicated melodeon player and an excellent friend to thousands, whom we sadly lost in September of this year. We know that a lot of people were unable to attend his funeral, so ‘Keith’s Microfest’ will be dedicated to the memory of his infectious humour, love of English music and all-round enthusiasm for life: we hope to see many of his friends there.

There will be a reasonably priced bar, which is how we will cover costs. There will probably be simple food and snacks, tea, coffee etc. Exactly what happens will be largely down to what you enjoy playing, singing, reciting or dancing.
