Sop hie Crawford is a folk musician from East London. She released her debut album ‘Silver Pin’ with Oliver Coates in 2018 and her second album ‘ People I Have Known’ in 2020. She was the first woman to play the Song Woma n in ‘War Horse’ on the West End, she has toured internationally with ‘Tran slunar Paradise’ and in 2019 she toured with and played on the Grammy nomin ated cast recording of ‘Amelie The Musical’. She runs the Harrison Singarou nd and the new music and writing night and podcast Patterned Ground.
Over the past few years, Man Of The Minch – the musical alias of Glasgow based singer-songwriter and instrumentalist Pedro Cameron – has become one of the most exciting names at the forefront of Sco ttish folk music. Blending traditional Celtic sounds with personal, pr ofound storytelling, Man of the Minch has already picked up his fair share of fans and followers. Winner of Up and Coming Artist of the Year at the 20 19 Scots Trad Awards, he is breathing new life into traditional music whils t staying true to what makes that music so timeless.
Whethe r he’s on stage solo, his songs pared back to simple acoustic guitar and hi s resonant, heartfelt vocal, or accompanied by a full band, the same songs dressed up with sparkling pop and electronica and belted out to the back of the room, Man of the Minch stands alone. An important voice in the contemp orary Scottish music scene, and one you won’t be able to get out of your he ad.
Rakoczy is a vibrant singer and multi instrument alist, finding new frontiers for the English Concertina and carving o ut her own style on pipes. Her debut, Frontrunner, was nomina ted Album of the year for Bright Young Folk’s Reader’s Choice, and for Fate a’s Best Newcomer 2020.
