The EFDSS Young Folk Club will run a day of free online folk activities using ZoomThey will have a workshop and Q and A with Hannah James (Lady Maisery, The JigDoll Ensemble), as well as a session, listening club and a craft workshop. The day starts at 10.30am and finishes at 4.00pm (with plenty of breaks). The event will be open for all young people aged 14-21 who are enthusiastic about folk music, song and dance or who are curious to learn more.

Social media takeover

All young folk musicians and bands are also invited to get involved in the social media takeover, to share the vibrant youth folk and traditional music that happens in England and beyond!

On 3 July, post videos, audio or photographs of young musicians in action on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, using the hashtag #YouthFolkTakeover.
