Zoom Ceilidh with Frog on a Bike, caller Fee Lock and spot from the Hansell Family

Oxfolk is back with a fun ceilidh you can enjoy from home. This is a special event to suport our friends at Wallingford Bunkfest - Oxfolk will donate the profits from this ceilidh to BunkFest, to help make sure that this wonderful festival happens again next year.

Gather your household together in your kitchen, living room, garden, wherever there is room, log into Zoom and enjoy the fantastic music of Frog on a Bike. The fabulous Fee Lock is our caller, and will be adapting dances for couples, small groups and solo dancers. Fee always explains the dance moves clearly, whilst simultaneously channelling rock goddess class in a cut-glass accent!

Frog on a Bike is coming to you live from Cambridgeshire. They're rooted in English folk music, but you’ll also hear lots of tunes written by the band. Featuring lively melodeon, recorder and strings, their acoustic “two households only” line-up is still a big sound guaranteed to getyou up and dancing. They are
- Tom on melodeon. He is lead musician with the morris side Chiltern Hundreds Northwest Morris and has many times been Whitlesey's Straw Bear (just you ask him, he'll tell you all about it)
- Sarah on recorders is also the lead musician for Rockingham Rapper, and can play Speed the Plough in 17.5 seconds – with an award from Whitby Folk Week to prove it!
- Tim plays fiddle and other stringed instruments. He has played previously for Cambridge University Ceilidh Band, is a well-versed morris musician and dancer and also makes violins.

Half time entertainment comes from Wallingford residents and Albert, Evelyn, Nina and Aidan Hansell. Between them all they comprise members of local morris side and BunkFest regulars, Old Speckled Hen, as well the prestigious National Youth Folklore Troupe of England, and supergroup ceilidh band PolkaWorks.

Oxfolk's online ceilidhs are great fun for people of all ages and we love to see the inventive and joyous dancing that families, groups of housemates, solo dancers and couples come up with.

Tickets are sold per computer login and are available from oxfolk.org.uk You can choose between paying £10, £16 and £6 depending how many of you are joining in and what you can afford.
