Anyone who follows traditional folk music will know that John Kirkpatrick is a powerhouse among solo performers and the undisputed master of the squeezebox. Whether on concertina, melodeon or button accordion, John's infectious humour, verve and downright skill as a musician and composer guarantee a superb evening's entertainment.

On Saturday 13th May, join us at The Cholsey Pavilion for an evening of the finest folk music with John, supported by versatile fellow-squeezeboxers Three Pressed Men. This will, in effect, be a re-run of the first of Concerts@Cholsey's offerings in 2019, when John was prevented from appearing due to illness. He's back, he's in good form and they say he's playing better than ever! Doors open at 7.00 pm for 7.45 start.

As long as the fates so decree, John will play part of his set on A Very Famous Concertina. A few ducks need to line up before that's a certainty but we are optimistic as this is written.

The Cholsey Pavilion offers comfortable surroundings, level access, free car parking and the opportunity to visit by train, as Cholsey station is only about 5 minutes' walk away.

There will be a moderately priced real-ale bar offering Amwell Springs' excellent local beers, as well as real cider by Hitchcox's of Warpsgrove.

Tickets at just £10 (£12 at the door if still available) are sold in a very personal way: email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or dial 01491 652295 (voicemail available). Unfortunately we can't take card payments remotely but there are other options. We don't plan to use Eventbrite this time as the need has been very small to date.

We look forward to the pleasure of your company - and a rollicking good evening!
